When Tisdale is on the floor the Illini can be a force. He is 7-foot-1 and is the team’s best rebounder, best free throw shooter and best shot-blocker. The problem is that Tisdale is always in foul trouble.
Turnovers
If Illinois could stop turning the ball over, they would be in great shape. They have committed a turnover on almost a fourth of their possessions. That is just an insane number. One out of every four times they turn it over. Illinois does a lot of things well as they shoot well, play great defense and rebound well. They simply make stupid plays and turn the ball over.
This is the Season
If Illinois is to do anything in Internet betting then it has to be this season. They haven’t done much since reaching the title game in 2005. They lost in the first round in 2007 and in 2009 and last year they didn’t even make the tournament. The Illini have not won a tourney game in five years. This should be the season that changes as the team has all five starters back from last year. Illinois simply has to win against Michigan State and at least have a chance to win against Ohio State. Two wins and you can put Illinois into the Top 15 in the country.
