For decades at bars, airports, salons, and millions of homes, Jeopardy has been a staple. It is the most popular TV game show of all time. In particular, Trebek forged his own personal dynasty. He was the host from 1984 through 2020. It is forgotten that Jeopardy was off the air for a few years until its 1984 revival. Trebek was the reason why it launched a major comeback. Subsequently the native Canadian turned the franchise into sports betting powerhouse.

Trebek’s passing leaves a massive challenge to whoever replaces him. Certainly, the new host will suffer by comparison, whether it is fair or not. But there is no shortage of candidates wanting the gig. In fact, there are a host of top favorites to become the new host of jeopardy.
