Is 2010-11 the Miami Heat the Best NBA Team in Offshore Wagering History?

December 16th, 2021 Online Wagering

It seemed preposterous last week when the offshore wagering community first learned of the rumors that superstars Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James would all be playing for the same team in the upcoming NBA betting season.

But it seemed crazier still last night when King James sat in front of the sports betting world and told the cameras that he’d actually be joining Wade and Bosh on the Miami Heat roster and complete a three-headed monster that has no precedent in sports betting –at least not in the offshore wagering era.

When LeBron announced that he would be joining the Heat during a nationally televised press conference it was a truly historical moment in sports betting for several reasons.  For one, it was perhaps the most narcissistic display of self absorption ever witnessed by sports betting fans.  Secondly, it made the online wagering companies’ betting lines haywire, adjusting the betting lines perhaps more than any single event in NBA wagering history.

And third, and most importantly, the pairing of LeBron, Bosh and Wade is perhaps the greatest collection of talent ever seen in NBA betting history.  Sure there have been huge talents playing together on the same basketball betting roster before, but nothing like this.

Online wagering companies are going to have to add extra servers, hire new staff, and run around the clock trying to accommodate all the eager sports betting fans looking to jump on the Miami Heat bandwagon.

Why not?  Basketball betting fans have been a witness to three players with this level of talent playing in the same uniform.  Hell, most nights there isn’t even three players this good on the court, let alone on the same team.

You can think of all the great threesomes to play in NBA betting history and nothing even comes close.  There have been two great players on a roster at any given time (Jordan-Pippen, Shaq-Kobe, Magic-Kareem), but in terms of a nucleus of three superstars the only thing that comes close is the Boston Celtic’s so-called Big Three (Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Peirce).  But that trio is light years away in terms of offshore wagering talent.

When Allen, KG and Peirce came together their best seasons were all behind them.  And never in their careers did they approach the numbers that the trio of James, Bosh and Wade put up last NBA betting season (29.7 ppg, 7.3 RPG, 8.6 apg; 24.0 ppg, 10.8 RPG; 26.6 ppg, 4.8 RPG, 6.5 apg).
