While they may not be in the majority there are a fair share of online wagering fans who enjoy to gamble on a sport as storied and beloved as cricket.  One upcoming match that is sure to give online wagering enthusiasts the opportunity to gamble on cricket is the matchup between the West Indies National Cricket Team and India’s own National Cricket Team.

This Test will begin on Tuesday the 9th of August at 10:00 AM ET. The event will be held at the Beausejour Stadium located near Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. This will be the third Test of the 4 Test series with India holding the lead 1 – 0 – 1. Let’s have a quick recap of the first couple times these two countries went at it before we begin to breakdown their third matchup.

The first Test was held in Antigua and India was able to dominate the West Indies enough to stop the game early on their 162nd over with a score of 8 – 566. Ashwin was able to lead India to a victory by posting his third career seven wicket haul, his first outside of his home country. West Indies were off to a rough start by beginning 1 – 21 and with a deficit of 302 runs they were feeling the pressure right away.

They didn’t respond well to the added stress, Darron Bravo was the first over of the day and he didn’t accomplish much other than dictate the precedent for the rest of the second inning.  While their performance raised questions concerning both the skill and the future of the Caribbean cricket team, they didn’t wait long quell online wagering fans’ doubts.

West Indies was able to pull through in the second test and stop India from gaining a 2 – 0 advantage in the series. Roston Chase was the Man of the Match and although he doubts his flexibility in the match his performance ultimately led the West Indies to a draw. The Indians were remorseful of their loss considering how strongly they started out the Test.

They sent the West Indies off the pitch by bowling them out for 196 and impressively enough followed that with 500 runs. The weather delayed the game for a couple days and perhaps this aided West Indies in their comeback. The Indies had a tremendous deficit to overcome and they were able to do it marvelously. In the end the players shook hand signified the Test match had come to a draw.

India was by far the dominant team in the first match but the West Indies displayed both endurance and the ability to put runs on the board with their impressive performance during the second Test. The way these two countries have been playing sports betting fans should prepare themselves for an unpredictable outcome. The venue’s history has seen teams put up high numbers in the first inning (380, 588, 416, and 354 have been put up in the four most recent Tests) and consistently to do so in the second. Since Cricket has been played at the Beausejour Stadium no team has scored more than 300 runs in the second inning. It seems winning the toss will be instrumental in the game’s outcome.
