High Turnover in the Playoffs When It Comes to NFL Online Wagering

December 15th, 2021 Online Wagering

In most sports that are listed on the online wagering boards there are a group of teams that always seems to be ahead of all the other competition.

For example, in the NBA betting the Boston Celtics and the Lost Angeles Lakers have combined to win over half of all the NBA championships.  In the MLB odds competition the New York Yankees have won more sports betting title than any other team in professional sports.

The list goes on and on and it’s a similar story in almost every wagering online sport you can think of.The exception is in the NFL betting. Sure, you have teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers that have won the NFL betting title 6 times.  The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers have also been football betting champions at times an apiece.  But if you look at the post free agency era when online wagering came in to play there hasn’t really been much dominance by any single franchise, save the New England Patriots.

But even then it would be difficult to say that there is a group of teams that dominate the NFL playoffs.  Fans of wagering online never really know what to expect from one football betting season to the next in terms of which teams will win their respective divisions and qualify for the NFL betting playoffs.

It might seem as though it’s always the same teams in the football betting postseason, teams like the Colts or the Patriots; and it is true these teams have qualified for the playoffs quite often.

But to assume that only the same group of teams make the NFL betting postseason year after year is misleading and inaccurate.  In fact, there is more turnover in the NFL postseason than any other sport in online wagering.

Less than half of the teams in the NFL playoff betting action repeat the following year meaning that each football season there is a fresh crop of teams.  It’s the norm for a team to have an awful season one year and be a playoff contender the next.

If you don’t believe me just look back over the list of division winners for the past few years and you’ll probably be surprised by how much turnover there really is at the top of the NFL betting standings from year to year.
