NBA Playoff Online Wagering: Mavs Will Get One Step Closer To Finals. What started out as a very intriguing Western Conference Finals looks to be all but over as the Dallas Mavericks look to all but burying the Oklahoma City Thunder in their Game 4 online wagering matchup. Playing at home with a the crazy Oklahoma City crowd behind them the Thunder has great chance to win this NBA Playoff game and even the series at 2-2. But that doesn’t seem likely unless this team comes out and plays a drastically different game than it’s been playing through the first 3 games of the series –something online wagering companies betting lines don’t seem to support.
After taking Game 2 on the road the Thunder looked to be in control of the series but after failing to hold home court advantage in Game 3 the weaknesses of this team was exposed. Dallas has played awful defense, hasn’t shot the ball all that well and except for a 48-point explosion in Game 1 Dirk Nowitzki has been relatively quiet.
And still the Thunder hasn’t been able to capitalize.
Scoring champ Kevin Durant was a non-factor in Game 3 which is a ludicrous thing to ponder from an online wagering perspective. As the clock wound down in the fourth quarter in the Game 3 not only didn’t he take any shots, his teammates didn’t even give him a chance to touch the ball. That won’t happen again in Game 4 and fans should expect him to have a big game.
And the Thunder will need it as the team’s only other consistent scoring threat, Russell Westbrook has been awful this series. He had a good scoring effort in Game 3 (30 points) and he must duplicate that effort or the Thunder’s postseason will come to an end.
If there is such a thing as a “must win” game for Oklahoma City, this is it. The Mavs can afford to lose this online wagering matchup and still win the series, but the Thunder cannot.
Dallas can and does get its scoring from a variety of options both in the paint and on the perimeter. The Thunder is very limited in the offensive weaponry and as we saw in Game 3, even with Westbrook and Durant combining for 54 points it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Mavs.
The wildcard in Game 4 will be Nowitzki who’s coming off a 7-21 shooting performance. Look for him to bounce back and single-handedly bury the Thunder tonight.
