NBA Online Wagering Rookie John Wall Looks like The Real Deal

December 9th, 2021 Online Wagering

It seems like every week there’s a new ‘Next Big Thing’ in the NBA online wagering action with player scouting now beginning in middle school and dozens of “can’t miss” prospects being touted as the next Michael Jordan. So it’s a bit rare that a player actually lives up to the hype when it comes to NBA betting.  But one exception to that seems to be the recent #1 overall pick in the NBA, the Washington Wizards rookie PG John Wall.

Not that it’s a huge surprise, or that a strong performance in the summer development league guarantees online wagering superstardom but so far he’s done everything right and is well on his way to being a great player in the NBA odds action.

Online wagering companies have been keeping tabs on this player since he was torching SEC defenses as freshman last year at Kentucky.  His gaudy numbers and natural ability drew the attention of many a scout and impressed many sports betting fans.

And in his first foray into NBA online wagering action he did not disappoint.  Though the competition is far superior to that of the regular season NBA betting action, playing against his contemporaries and free agent veterans looking for roster spots Wall lit up the competition.

Wall didn’t just play well in the Summer League, he dominated and you can be sure that the online wagering companies’ odds makers took note.  He averaged 23.5 ppg and 7.8 apg.  Both marks were tops in the league.

It wasn’t all perfect for Wall as he also shot terribly from the 3-point line making just 1 of his 8 attempts and he was also amongst the leaders in turnovers, averaging an ugly 5.3 TO per game.  Still that’s to be expected of a rookie PG who has far more possessions than anyone else on the court and Washington didn’t draft Wall to be 3-point bomber.  These are also things he will get better at the more practice he gets at the NBA betting level.

Wall looks certain to impress in the upcoming NBA online wagering action.  He compares favorably to Derek Rose when he came into the NBA betting action two years ago and we all know how well that turned out for the Chicago Bulls.
