Politics and elections now hot online wagering topics. Who thought that politics, elections and online wagering could be so compatible? It wasn’t all that long ago that the only link between politics and the Internet betting industry was a handful of congressmen trying to limit a person’s right to place an online wager.

And things are really starting to heat up in the sphere of political and elections betting right now. A handful of states recently kicked off the primary season, a time when candidates are chosen from their respective parties to fight tooth and nail in the general election in the fall, and online wagering interest has never been higher.
There are those that are outraged by these developments and claim that elections and online wagering should never be mentioned in the same breath; that online wagering on election outcomes trivializes this important races.
But there are also those people that are warmed by the idea that so many people (ie online wagering fans) are so taking such an interest, and participating in, the democratic process.
No matter how you view it, matters little and the betting action carries on. With the primary season just now swinging into high gear we’re seeing upsets of many well established incumbents and this will have a major impact on the fall elections. Many unknown and first time candidates will now be thrust into the lime light and this will make for some very interesting betting odds.
