Preakness Stakes Wagering – Nehro Withdrawn

Preakness Stakes Wagering – Nehro Withdrawn Tips to Win . The second place horse in the Kentucky Derby, Nehro will not be on the board in Preakness Stakes wagering. The horse was withdrawn from consideration on Tuesday by owner Ahmad Zayat.  Nehro would have been the second choice on the odds board but now gamblers at Sbg global.com will have to look for someone else to put on their exotic tickets and Preakness Stakes bet with the favored Animal Kingdom.

Too Much Racing for Nehro
The connections of Nehro believed that sending the horse in the Preakness would have just been too much. It would have been his fourth race in the past eight weeks.  He was second in the Louisiana Derby, Arkansas Derby and the Kentucky Derby in a six week span.  The decision by Zayat was a very conservative one, especially since the horse was doing superbly this week.  Everything about the horse was pointing to him wanting to run on Saturday but Zayat is holding him back. It remains to be seen whether or not that was a good decision.

Nehro Pointed to Belmont Stakes
If Animal Kingdom can win the Preakness he will still have to get by Nehro but it will be in the Belmont.  That may actually be a break for Animal Kingdom as the Preakness set up a lot better for Nehro than the Belmont does.  The Belmont is a grueling race and it is unclear whether Nehro would like the added distance.   Nehro is also getting to the point where gamblers can’t back him as the win horse with much confidence since he has just one win in six starts.

Full Field
Even with the defection of Nehro it is looking like a full field of 14 in Preakness Stakes wagering. There were 15 horses looking to get into the race and if all 15 are entered then Saratoga Red would be the horse that misses out.  Animal Kingdom will be the favorite with beaten Derby favorite Dialed In and third place finisher Mucho Macho Man the second and third choices. Other horse in the field are Shackleford who was fourth in Derby, Midnight Interlude who was 16th, Todd Pletcher’s Dance City, Sway Away who just missed out on graded earnings for the Derby, King Congie, Flashpoint, Nehro’s stable mate Astrology, Mr. Commons, Norman Asbjornson, Concealed Identity and Isn’t He Perfect.
