One of the best sports betting matchups of the upcoming college basketball season is going to be in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge when Duke hosts Michigan State. Those two teams could be ranked first and second when they meet early in the sports betting online college basketball season.

Sports betting odds early in the college basketball season feature a lot of non-conference games and some of the most popular ones each year are the ones from the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The best one of the 11 matchups is Michigan State at Duke on December 1st.  The Blue Devils are the defending national champs while Michigan State is coming off back-to-back Final Four appearances.  Duke returns Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith plus they have transfer Seth Curry and McDonald’s All-American point guard Kyrie Irving.  The Spartans bring back Kalin Lucas along with most of the other starters from last year’s team.

The ACC and Big 10 are going to be loaded next season.  The Big 10 has Michigan State, Purdue and Ohio State who could all be in the Top 10. The ACC has Duke, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.  The ACC/Big 10 matchup when Purdue visits Virginia Tech should also be a great one in sports betting and it will be played on the same night as Duke vs. Michigan State.

The ACC/Big 10 Challenge begins on November 29th when Virginia goes to Minnesota. The next night it is North Carolina at Illinois, Ohio State at Florida State, Michigan at Clemson, Georgia Tech at Northwestern and Iowa at Wake Forest.  The games on December 1st are Michigan State at Duke, Purdue at Virginia Tech, North Carolina State at Wisconsin, Indiana at Boston College and Maryland at Penn State.

While Michigan State vs. Duke will be the big game in sports betting online, the one between Purdue and Virginia Tech should be good. Purdue returns E’Twaun Moore, JaJuan Johnson and Robbie Hummel while Virginia Tech returns Malcolm Delaney. Ohio State should be good as they have a great recruiting class while North Carolina could also be a Top 10 team before all is said and done. The Tar Heels have Jon Henson and Tyler Zeller inside to go along with guards Dexter Strickland, Larry Drew, Will Graves and Leslie McDonald.  Not to be left out in this talented group of teams in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge are Illinois who returns Demetri McCamey and Mike Davis and Wisconsin who always is in the mix.
