Sports betting on college basketball can feature the big name teams like Kansas, Kentucky and Duke but oftentimes the bubble teams can make you money. With March Madness just around the corner, many teams are in must-win mode right now and that makes them interesting bets in Internet sports betting.
Sports betting this season had a lot of teams on the bubble. In fact more teams than ever seem to be right on the cusp of earning a postseason spot. A few conferences are down this year which means that their conferences are not going to get as many bids. That means the teams have to win right now in sports betting. The ACC and Pac-10 are two of the high profile conferences that have struggled. North Carolina is not even going to make the tournament while the Pac-10 may only get one team.
The ACC has a number of bubble teams including Georgia Tech who just can’t seem to put it all together. They have a very solid RPI but they keep losing games in Internet sports betting that they should win. A below .500 record in the ACC this season is simply not going to get it done and they are just 5-6 in the conference. Last year a total of seven teams from the ACC made the NCAA Tournament. That is not going to be the case this sports betting college basketball season. Only Duke and Wake Forest look secure in Internet sports betting. As many as five other ACC teams including Georgia Tech are competing for two or three spots. The Yellow Jackets might be worth a look in Internet sports betting games at Maryland and Clemson that they really need to win.
The Pac-10 has not seen any team do very well this season and it could be that only the Pac-10 tourney winner gets a bid. Washington might be in the hunt though as they have key sports betting wins over California and Oregon. They could be worth a look in the final three road games.
The Big 10 has been very good in sports betting this college hoops season and they could get another team in addition to their power four of Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Illinois is right on the bubble and could make it. They have games at Purdue and Ohio State and home against Wisconsin and taking the Illini might be worth a shot in sports betting in those games.
