Sportbetting has Carolina sticking with Jake Delhomme as the starting quarterback even though he has only two touchdowns to go along with seven interceptions. Sports betting online had the Panthers with a bye this week on the NFL schedule. Sportbetting indicated that Carolina’s head coach John Fox was fully in support of Delhomme.
“I didn’t think that was a question, but if that needs to be clarified, yes with a capital Y,” Fox said. Delhomme threw two interceptions in the Panthers’ NFL betting loss to Dallas but the one that was returned for a TD as not his fault. Wide receiver Steve Smith has said that it was 100% his fault and that Delhomme should not be blamed.
While that particular interception was not Delhomme’s fault, many of the others have been. He threw four interceptions in Carolina’s sportbetting loss to Philadelphia in Week 1 and had a bad interception the following week in the loss to Atlanta.
Delhomme has a horrible passer rating of 54.3 this season and his turnover margin is the worst in the NFL. “Certainly we haven’t put up the points that we would have liked to have put up,” Delhomme said. “But we’re a work in progress and we’re trying to get there.” For some reason the Panthers committed money to Delhomme in the off-season after he came apart in the playoff sports betting online loss to Arizona.
Now the problem for the Panthers is that they have very few choices as sports betting online indicated. The backup quarterbacks are A.J. Feeley and Matt Moore. The backup was Josh McCown but he got hurt and is out for the online betting year. Moore hasn’t played since 2007 as sports betting online shows while Feeley is still learning the system.
It is sink or swim for the Panthers in sportbetting with Delhomme. Head coach John Fox is probably going to go down with his quarterback. The Panthers could be looking to make a coaching change if things don’t turn around this NFL betting season. The Panthers have yet to win at all in sportbetting this year. They were 0-4 in the sportbetting preseason and now they are 0-3 in the regular season. “I’m at a loss right now,” left tackle Jordan Gross said, “I don’t know what the problem is.”
The Panthers sportbetting turnaround has been drastic since last season it was Carolina having a very effective offense that led them to the NFC South title and a playoff berth.
