Sportbetting will not have Allen Iverson impacting NBA results anytime soon. The Memphis Grizzlies released Iverson, ending a failed relationship that lasted just a few games. The Grizzlies weren’t winning in sports betting online with Iverson and they are not winning without him.
Sportbetting would have Iverson becoming an unrestricted free agent if he clears waivers as expected. It is possible that another team will take a flyer on Iverson considering he can still score. The New York Knicks have reportedly expressed an interest. Iverson played only three games with Memphis this season and then left the team. “Because of personal matters that forced him to leave the team on November 7, Allen will step away from the game at this time, allowing him to focus on those matters,” general manager Chris Wallace said, “As a result, we will be ending our contractual agreement with Allen, which will allow both parties to move forward. We wish Allen the best.”
Iverson was not happy coming off the bench in Memphis. He missed the entire sportsbetting preseason and didn’t make his debut with the Grizzlies until November 2nd at Sacramento. He did become the 16th player in league history to score 24,000 points in his career when he went over that total against Golden State in the second sportsbetting game.
Memphis recently signed guard Jamaal Tinsley to take the place of Iverson on the roster. The Grizzlies have a lot of young talent but they are off to a very poor 2-8 start. Memphis is 4-6 this season against the sportsbetting odds.

That number has to change if Memphis is to turn things around and be competitive in sportsbetting this season. Iverson was not a defensive player anyway so his loss isn’t going to hurt much in sports betting online. The Grizzlies have a lineup that should be a lot better than it has been. With O.J. Mayo, Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay and Mike Conley, the Grizzlies have a lot of young talent that should be winning games in the NBA.
