Sport betting had Jenson Button clinching his first Formula One title this past Saturday even though he finished fifth in the Brazilian Grand Prix. With the fifth-place finish, Jenson Button now has a 17-point lead as online sports betting stats show and that means the F1 title is his.
Sport betting had Mark Webber winning the Brazilian Grand Prix but the story was Button clinching the season long title. “It’s amazing,” Button said. “This race for me was the best race I’ve run all year. I needed it.” Rubens Barrichello was trying to make up ground on Button in the points race but finished a very disappointing 8th while Sebastian Vettel finished fourth in the online sports betting race.
In the Brazilian Grand Prix, Webber got his second sport betting win of the season as he held off Robert Kubica and defending champion Lewis Hamilton as those that bet Webber at the sportsbook got a win. For Barrichello to keep his hopes alive in the points’ race he had to win the race and hope that Button finished fourth or worse in online sports betting. Button did finish 5th but Barrichello couldn’t win in front of his home crowd. Vettel was fortunate to finish in 4th after starting 15th but it was not enough in online sports betting to keep his title hopes going.
Brawn GP also had a great day in this sport betting race since they became the first team in history to win the constructors’ championship in its first season. “It hasn’t sunk in yet, it hasn’t sunk in yet,” team principal Ross Brawn said. “It’ll take awhile.” Brawn GP really had the title won weeks ago as did Button but in recent weeks the race had gotten a little closer.
Button was able to move up in the Brazilian Grand Prix after starting 14th. Barrichello was in front at the beginning but after the first round of pit stops his chances at sport betting victory were over. He started the race with a lighter fuel load and the strategy did not work. He still was set for a good sport betting finish until a late flat tire ended his chances.
Webber was the sport betting winner of the race, winning for those gamblers who backed him at the online sportsbook. “Fantastic day for the team to win again,” Webber said.
