Sports betting has not been very successful this season on the New Jersey Nets. It may not get any better since the Nets are without one of their top players in Devin Harris. He missed the online sports betting loss to the Wizards that saw the Nets fall to 0-3
Sports betting had the Nets losing to the Wizards 123-104 without Harris in the lineup. They had lost their first two games this online sports betting season when Harris was healthy but at least those games were close in online sports betting results. Against the Wizards the sports betting loss was a blowout. The Nets lost to Washington in online sports betting even though the Wizards were missing Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison.
The Nets went with Rafer Alston as the replacement for Harris and he did play well, scoring 20 points and dishing out eight assists. Harris was hurt in the preseason but he made it back for the opener in sports betting but he missed the game against Washington. The bad news for New Jersey in sports betting is that Harris is now expected to miss 7-10 games. “I can probably guarantee it won’t be shorter.” Harris said.
The Nets let Harris play even though Harris said that his groin injury was never really fully healed. They are not expected to make that mistake again. “At this point, before I come back I’ve got to feel nothing,” said Harris, “Even after a few days, if I feel good I think we’re going to take ample time really just to let it heal.”
The Nets simply are not the same team in sports betting without Harris. Alston and Terrence Williams have seen playing time at the point but they are not in the same class as Harris. New Jersey has not played well this season overall and their effort in sports betting against Washington was poor. “Obviously it was pitiful,” head coach Lawrence Frank said. “It was just a total defensive breakdown…a very, very dismal defensive performance.”
The Nets are 0-3 both straight up and against the sports betting number. It may not get any better since they have to face the Nuggets and Celtics in two of their next five sports betting games. They go to Charlotte on Monday in sports betting then host Denver on Wednesday before playing Philadelphia and Boston on back-to-back nights in sports betting.
