Sport betting in college football had a shakeup in the Top 25 in the AP poll although the Top 3 remained the same. After the Top 3 it was tough to figure out the rest of the Top 25 as online sports betting noted. The Gators, Longhorns and Crimson Tide are the only Top 10 teams ranked in the Top 10 in the preseason not to have lost a game.
Sport betting has Florida at #1 in the AP poll followed by #2 Texas and #3 Alabama. After those three there was a big shakeup. A total of 15 teams moved up or down at least three spots in the poll. LSU is the #4 team although they should have lost at Mississippi State this past week. The Bulldogs couldn’t get in from the one yard line late in the game and the Tigers held on for the win although they did not cover the online sports betting number. Boise State moved up to #5 in the AP poll. The SEC has three of the top four teams in the country as sport betting has it. The last conference to have three of the top four in the AP poll was the Big Eight in 1971.
The next ten begins with Virginia Tech at #6 after their impressive sport betting win against Miami. USC has moved up to #7 while Oklahoma is back in the picture at #8. Ohio State is even back into the Top 10 as they are 9th. Cincinnati has looked as good as any team in online sports betting and they are #10. Many sport betting people thought that Oklahoma, Ohio State and USC would be out of the national title picture but that is no longer the case.
The second ten is led by TCU who remains unbeaten as does #12 Houston. Iowa is up to #13 after their upset win at Penn State. The Nittany Lions fell to #15 after the sports book loss. Oregon is back into the rankings at #16 after they crushed California in sport betting. Miami fell to #17 after their loss to Virginia Tech in online sports betting shakeup. Georgia and Kansas are tied for #18 in the poll while BYU is #20.
Mississippi had one of the biggest drops in recent sport betting memory as they fell 17 spots from #4 to #21. And that wasn’t the biggest drop of the week as sports book shows. California fell 18 spots from #6 to #24. Michigan survived against Indiana and they are ranked #23.
Falling out of the college football betting rankings were Florida State, North Carolina and Washington.
