Duke and Michigan State are considered the top college basketball teams at sports betting companies. They are also the top two teams in the latest ESPN/USA Today coaches’ poll.  Duke is 3-0 this season and the favorite in sportsbetting at Sbg global to defend their national title this season.  The Blue Devils are off to a 3-0 start and look even better than they did a year ago.

Top Five

  1. Duke
  2. Michigan State
  3. Ohio State
  4. Kansas State
  5. Pittsburgh

Duke got 29 of 31 first-place votes while Michigan State got the other two.  The two teams will meet on December 1st in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in a game that will be televised on ESPN.  Ohio State is up to #3 in the country while Kansas State and Pittsburgh round out the top five.  The rest of the top ten has Kansas, Villanova, Purdue, Kentucky and Syracuse. None of the teams in the Top 10 have suffered a loss yet this season.

The early part of the college basketball season is the time when teams play non-conference games and so far this season there have not been many marquee matchups. That will start to change in upcoming weeks so look for some great games in the next couple of weeks with exciting odds at sports betting companies.

Tar Heels Drop like a Rock
North Carolina was ranked #8 in the country last week but after losses to Minnesota and Vanderbilt in sportsbetting they almost fell out of the rankings entirely as they dropped all the way down to #25. Minnesota got into the rankings for the first time this season at #17 while San Diego State is also a newcomer at #22. Virginia Tech and Wisconsin both fell out of the rankings this week but both are quality teams who could easily be back into the top 25 in upcoming weeks.
