The second half of the baseball sports betting season is here with some great races in all of the divisions. The American League East features three teams that had 50 or more wins last season. Other division races could be just as exciting in sports betting online odds.
Sports betting odds favor the Yankees to win the American League East while the Tampa Bay Rays are the choice to finish second and win the Wild Card. That would leave the Boston Red Sox out in the cold since there is only one Wild Card. The Red Sox have a lot of injuries so they could fall out of the race. If Tampa Bay can handle the pressure they will get a huge break late in the season when they play their last ten games of the year against Seattle, Baltimore and Kansas City. The Yankees and Red Sox will play six times in the final ten games of the season.
The American League Central race is just as competitive. Three teams are fighting for the title. The Chicago White Sox were just ahead of Detroit and Minnesota at the break. It is almost a given that the Wild Card is coming out of the East so two of the three teams in the Central are not going to make the playoffs. The American League West is all about Texas trying to hold off the Angels. The Rangers acquired Cliff Lee about a week ago and he could be the sports betting difference.
The National League also has great divisional races. All three divisions are up for grabs. The National League East looks to be a three team fight between Atlanta, New York, and Philadelphia. The Braves lead the division but the Phillies and Mets don’t figure to be going away. The Central is a two team fight between Cincinnati and St. Louis. The Cardinals should have the edge but Cincinnati has surprised everyone this year by leading the division. The West is also going to be fun to watch with four teams in the mix. San Diego has shocked the sports betting online world by leading the division. Many people expect them to fade but stranger things have happened. Colorado is the team that is poised to win the division. They will be getting some players back from injury and the Rockies have Jimenez. The Dodgers are not going to spend money so they may fall out of the race and San Francisco just doesn’t have the hitting.
