The New York Giants are 15-1 to win the Super Bowl this season at sports betting companies. Those odds won’t be affected by New York’s latest signing but the Giants’ chances of success could be.  New York added former Pro Bowler Keith Bulluck and he could help the Giants this sports betting NFL season.

Sports betting companies favor the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East this season but the Giants are considered a serious contender.  The Giants were considered weak at linebacker so the addition of Bulluck could be very important.   The Giants signed him to a one-year deal worth about $2.5 million with incentives.  Bulluck is a former Pro Bowler who spent his entire career with the Tennessee Titans.  The Giants badly need Bulluck since they released middle linebacker Antonio Pierce in February.  The Giants were trying to use either Jonathan Goff or Chase Blackburn in that spot but Bulluck gives them a lot more talent at the position.

The Titans did not choose to re-sign Bulluck.  The former Pro Bowler suffered a knee injury late last season and he had knee surgery after that injury.   He had 108 tackles last season in 14 games and he had started 127 straight games before the injury. He worked out for the Giants and looked great as the injury seems fully healed. In 10 seasons with the Titans, Bulluck had 1,057 tackles.

The Giants are thrilled to have Bulluck on the team and they have said that he will start at middle linebacker this season.  Many teams were looking at Bulluck but the Giants had the inside track since Bulluck loves New York. It appears the Titans made a major mistakes not re-signing Bulluck.  They are likely to feel his wrath in September 26th when the Giants host the Tennessee Titans.

New York will be favored in that game against Tennessee and the Giants could be favored a lot in 2010.  It is a big season for head coach Tom Coughlin since the Giants are coming off a subpar 2009 season.  New York is the second choice in future odds behind the Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC East.  New York is 2.5 to 1 in sports betting to win the division.
