Sports Betting Odds Still Include Mark Martin

Sports Betting NASCAR Odds Still Include Mark Martin. Online sports betting odds oftentimes have Martin as a contender and that should continue. Sports betting fans follow the Hendrick cars and Martin is a popular driver.  Hendrick signed Kasey Kahne for next year but Martin said he wants to remain in the number 5 car. “I’m not going to retire,” Martin said, “I’m racing in 2012.” “There will be an opportunity for me I’m sure that will be exciting and fun.”

NASCAR rules limit teams to four race cars. Hendrick has Martin, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  They will add Kahne to that crew next year. Martin is happy that Kahne has been added. “I’m really, really excited. I’m so psyched about it and so relieved that we can go on and work on racing and not worry about Hendrick Motorsports and my team and everything else and what the future is,” Martin said. “We know it’s set. It’s a perfect scenario. Kasey Kahne is a really right fit for this organization.” Martin actually recruited Kahne to join Hendrick.

Kahne could work with a different team next online sports betting NASCAR season and still be under Hendrick although it is unclear right now how that will work. “I’ll work through it with Mr. Hendrick and figure out exactly what we need to do in ’11 that makes the most sense,” Kahne said. “They made a commitment to me and Rick said he’ll make sure it’s right. I took that as it will be a pretty good opportunity, a pretty good situation I’ll be in next year.” The likely scenario has Kahne going with Stewart-Haas Racing next year since they have a working agreement with Hendrick. Stewart has always said he would add a third driver if the right situation presented itself.

Martin is very much in the running this year to make the chase although it is early.  He has been competitive in most every race in sports betting odds. Last year he won five times and was second in points behind Jimmie Johnson. “It was a little bit stretched to do one full-time season. I give them three. It’s been the gift of my career that Hendrick Motorsports has given me,” Martin said. “One of my biggest concerns has been who is going to be the successor so that I didn’t knock them out of getting the very best A-No. 1 fit. That’s why I started talking to Kasey Kahne before anybody.”
