If you are following the MLB playoffs on the sports betting page you probably already realize that the games are moving like a turtle. The games are dragging out and even when the action is good it is taking forever. The ALCS and NLCS have had their moments in Internet sports betting but it sure has been tough to wait for them.
If you watched the baseball games this week and switched channels to the football you noticed a huge difference. There were times you could watch an entire drive for a football team and the same batter would still be at the plate in the baseball game. It was completely ridiculous!
Baseball Needs to Change
I am not the only one that has noticed that baseball games are moving at a snail’s pace. Viewers around the United States are tuning out. On Monday night when the baseball playoffs were up against Monday Night Football it was the football that won hands down. And the football was a rotten game as Tennessee routed Jacksonville. It didn’t matter as viewers wanted nothing to do with the TV rain delay that is known as baseball.
Batters are constantly stepping out of the box, pitchers are stepping off the rubber and it has gotten completely out of hand. In Game 4 of the Texas-New York series, one-half inning took almost a half hour to play and only one run scored. MLB has said they will do something about moving the game along and they have told umpires to speed things up but nothing has been done.
Playoff Action
The ALCS and NLCS have had their moments but none of the action has really been that compelling. It is not like the Yankees and Red Sox are playing each other. It is the Phillies and Giants where neither team can hit and in the American League it is Texas and the Yankees putting us to sleep. Perhaps the World Series will be different but only if baseball decides that these games shouldn’t drag out for four hours. That probably won’t happen which is why many gamblers who follow the action and the results at the sports betting page will be watching a lot of football.
