Sports Betting Site – Getting Ready for Big East College Football. Big East college football is just around the corner with the Pittsburgh Panthers the favorite at the sports betting site. The Panthers may be favored to win the Big East in sports betting but they are no guarantee as they have a young quarterback and high expectations.
Sports betting site odds on the Big East are really pretty wide open. Gamblers really don’t have a lot of faith in Pittsburgh with Dave Wannstedt as head coach. They are not real thrilled with West Virginia either as they are coached by Bill Stewart. Connecticut might be the team to watch this season and Cincinnati is going under the radar now that Brian Kelly is at Notre Dame. Rutgers has some talent but their schedule will make it very difficult to win the conference.
Noel Devine: The best player in the Big East might be at West Virginia. Noel Devine is a Heisman Trophy candidate who is about 1,800 yards short of the career rushing record at West Virginia. Pittsburgh has Dion Lewis but Devine is the one who turns heads of gamblers. While Devine and Lewis get the press, it could be UConn who gets the cash at the SBG Global sportsbook. The Huskies return 16 starters and they are going to be good.
Panthers: Pittsburgh has Lewis and they have All-American defensive end Greg Romeus but they are coached by Wannstedt and they have no experience at quarterback. If they lose their opener at Utah they could lose confidence and be a major disappointment in 2010.
Huskies: Connecticut returns eight starters on defense and the Huskies get West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati at home. The Big East title has to go through Connecticut in 2010. The Huskies get an immediate chance to make a big splash on the national scene as they play Michigan in their opener. They can beat the overrated Wolverines even though the game is on the road.
The Rest: West Virginia and Cincinnati could contend but both are a notch below Pittsburgh and Connecticut. Rutgers has quarterback Tom Savage but they have to play at Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and West Virginia. South Florida has Skip Holtz at head coach but he needs time. Louisville and Syracuse are better but they are still not threats to win the conference.
