Sportsbetting systems for many gamblers involve betting more after losses. This can be good news or bad news depending upon the results and depending upon the bankroll involved when betting sports. The Martingale is when you double up until you win your bet. The problem with that system is that eventually you will lose and go broke. A variation of that system is a limited Martingale.
This is where you double up until you win in sportsbetting but only for the first three games. If you lost that third game you would start over. For example, in baseball sportsbetting, you would take the St. Louis Cardinals in a three game series on a Martingale with the assumption that they wouldn’t get swept. If they did get swept, you’d have to take your losses and move on to a new series rather than extend the sportsbetting Martingale past that third game.
Another theory to consider as you are betting sports is the regression theory. This is where you maximize your profits and also maximize their protection from needless risk exposure. For example if you won $200 on a morning football game you would take all of the stake money, along with $100 of that $200 in profits, and pocket it. By utilizing the regression sports betting system, you can virtually guarantee that you will end the day with a profit and yet still be able to try and go for the “big day by continuing with betting action after your initial profits.
Some people will combine the Martingale and Regression systems into a combination sports betting system. They may, for example, do a two game Martingale where if they lose their first wager of the day, they can come right back with a Martingale bet. By the same token, when they do emerge ahead and in the black, they will then protect roughly half of those profits and all of their stake money.
When you are betting sports you have the option of using any system you want. You can make your own variation of a sports betting system and suit it to your own needs.
