TCU Favored in Online Sports Betting in Mountain West

TCU is the favorite in online sports betting odds in the Mountain West Conference this college football season. Not only is TCU favored in offshore sports betting odds, the Horned Frogs are also the favorite in the league’s preseason media poll.

Online sports betting odds will probably favor TCU in every game they play this season.  The only possible game in which they might be an underdog is at Utah late in the season but that will depend upon how the Utes are doing at the time.  TCU has nine offensive starters returning from last season including quarterback Andy Dalton.  The Horned Frogs received all 31 first-place votes in the Mountain West preseason media poll.  Dalton was chosen as the preseason offensive player of the year while linebacker Tank Carder was the preseason defensive player of the year.

Utah was picked to finish second in the preseason media poll followed by BYU, Air Force, Wyoming, San Diego State, Colorado State, UNLV and New Mexico.  This will be the last season for Utah in the Mountain West as they will move to the Pac-10 conference next year.

This is the fourth time in the last six seasons that TCU has been picked in the preseason to win the Mountain West title.  TCU returns 16 starters overall and their schedule sets up for another league title.  TCU was picked to win the Mountain West title in 2006, 2007 and in 2009 but they only won it as the favorite in 2009. They also won it in 2005 but they were not the preseason favorite.  Next season the Mountain West Conference will include Boise State so the poll will look different next year with Boise State in and Utah out.

Utah is considered a threat to TCU this season as they finished only 37 points behind TCU in the preseason poll. BYU was 72 points back in third place. Air Force was another 12 points back in fourth while Wyoming was a distant fifth.

TCU has some key games this season in offshore sports betting as they look for a possible perfect year. They host Oregon State in their season opener; host BYU in mid-October while they have to go to Utah in early November.
