Sports Betting – Spain Tops FIFA Rankings while France Drops to All-Time Low

The top team in soccer is still Spain even though they lost against the sports betting odds last week against Argentina in a friendly. The latest FIFA world rankings are out and Spain remains number one.  While Spain is still highly respected in sports betting online circles, France has reached a new low. They have dropped to #27 in the world, the worst ranking they have ever had since the rankings began in 1993.

Spain being on top was nothing new as they have a team loaded with talent. The shock was just how far France has fallen. It was not that long ago that we were talking about France as a world power in soccer.  They are now the world joke in soccer.

France is a Disgrace – France actually lost a Euro 2012 qualifier at home against the soccer odds at Sbg global to Belarus.  That is how sad France has become as a soccer team.  It may be a long time before France recovers from the near mutiny in the 2010 World Cup.  They are simply a bad team with no organization and no team unity.

Spain #1, Netherlands #2, Germany #3 – The top three in the FIFA rankings are Spain, Netherlands and Germany. Brazil dropped to number four in the world which is somewhat of a surprise and they are followed by Argentina at number five with England moving up to sixth. Uruguay is seventh followed by Portugal, Egypt and Chile.

Slovakia Best-Ever RankingSlovakia has moved up to #16 in the world and that is the highest ranking they have ever had.  Turkey made sports betting news as they moved up seven spots to #21.  Montenegro moved up to #40 which is their best ranking ever. They beat Wales and Bulgaria in Euro 2012 qualifying.

U.S. Still #18 – The United States remained at 18th in the FIFA rankings.  Other teams of note were Ghana at #20 and Australia at #24. New Zealand is the top Oceania nation at #49.  Lithuania, Northern Ireland and Cyprus moved up into the top 50 in the world.  Belarus has their best ranking ever at #55. South African moved up eight spots to #58 in the latest FIFA world rankings.
