Sports Betting Website – Braves Starting to Collapse

The Atlanta Braves are fast becoming a team you don’t want to bet on at the sports betting website.

This is manager Bobby Cox’s last season and his Braves are doing what his teams normally do in pressure situations, collapse.  It was not that long ago in sports betting that the Braves were thought to be a sure thing to make the playoffs but not anymore.

Look at Atlanta’s History – Are we really surprised that Atlanta is folding like a house of cards.  Everyone is in love with Bobby Cox as a manager but his teams have a long history of choking in the clutch.  From 1991-2005 the Braves won 14 division titles in a row if you leave out the strike-shortened season of 1994.  They won the NL West from 1991-1993 and the NL East from 1995-2005 but they won just a single World Series and that game in 1995. If not for that won year they would have been labeled the biggest chokers of all time.  Even with that win, Bobby Cox’s teams overall were playoff disasters.

A Collapse Would Be Fitting – If the Braves collapse and miss out on the playoffs it would be a fitting end to Cox’s run as manager.  He has had arguably some of the best talent in baseball history and won just one title.  His Braves this season were in great shape to not only win the NL East but be a force in the playoffs but now they can’t even beat a team like the Washington Nationals against the baseball odds at the Sbg global sportsbook. The schedule sets up favorably for the Braves but they are proving that even teams like Washington and Pittsburgh can beat them when it counts.   The Braves lost two of three to Washington at home for only their second home series loss of the season.  When it matters most, the Braves are blowing it.

Will Atlanta Make the Playoffs?  Let’s look at the remaining schedule for the Braves as posted on the sports betting website.  They begin a nine-game road trip on Friday that has them going to New York, Philadelphia and Washington.  The Braves are a great home team but they suck on the road.  They should beat teams like New York and Washington but they have proven in recent weeks that they can choke at anytime.  The Phillies are going to win the NL East and it is very possible the Braves will collapse down the stretch and miss the playoffs.
