Sports Betting Website – The Lost Season at Texas. It has been an unthinkable season for the Texas Longhorns as they are 4-5 straight up and a horrible 2-7 against the college football odds at the sports betting website. The Texas Longhorns finishing with a losing season in sports betting? It must be a joke right? It is not and it could easily happen with Texas facing two ranked teams in two of their last three games.
Mack Brown has never had a losing season at Texas. Never. It could easily happen this year though. The Longhorns have been getting worse this season, not better. And at 4-5 they must win two of their remaining three games to finish 6-6 and become bowl-eligible. This is a Texas team that played for the national championship just a season ago. What is going on?
Last Place Longhorns
The Longhorns are in last place in the South Division of the Big 12. Let that sink in for a moment. Texas is in last place. The Longhorns have lost five of their last six games including losses to Iowa State, Baylor and Kansas State. That is just simply incomprehensible. Texas has serious problems on both sides of the ball. They have no game breaker on offense and their defense is simply not very good. It is hard to believe. Texas is not only lacking talent they have been poorly coached this season. Against Kansas State, who has the worst rushing defense in the country, Texas threw it 59 times but ran it only 26 times. Will Muschamp’s supposedly great defense has been rotten all year. They can’t hold leads and they can’t even stop rotten Iowa State or Kansas State from scoring.
Since the BCS has been in existence, the worst finish by a team the next season after having played for a BCS title the previous year was the 2002 Nebraska Cornhuskers who finished 7-7. Texas could top that if they finish the season at 5-7.
Three Games Left
Texas is home this week against #12 Oklahoma State and there is no reason to think the Longhorns are going to turn it around and win against the Cowboys against the football odds at the sports betting website. Texas should beat Florida Atlantic in their next game though vs. the football odds at Sbg global and then a six win season would come down to the finale against Texas A&M and right now the Aggies are ranked so that won’t be easy.
