Sports betting in the NFL has just gotten underway and one of the biggest questions this off-season seems to have been answered. All summer long the media bombarded sportsbetting fans with reports of the Brett Favre saga in Green Bay. And when Aaron Rodgers was ultimately chosen to succeed the legend, many felt this was an awful sports betting pick the team would come to regret –until he took the field.
Sportsbetting experts and fans alike have been more than impressed with Rodgers’ outstanding debut as the team’s starting QB. Although two games in the NFL sportsbetting season is much too small a sample size to say definitively whether or not he can be a star in the NFL, he has been almost perfect. In week one, his first as an NFL starter, he played under more pressure than any other football player on the planet. But you could hardly tell as he led his team to a huge sportsbetting win. Even those that made a sports betting pick against him had to be impressed.
But if week one was impressive to sports betting fans, week 2 was even more so. Against a tough divisional rival and in front of a national audience Rogers was outstanding, but in week two against another bitter divisional sportsbetting rival he was even better. Granted the Detroit Lions are not as strong as the Vikings, they put up a good fight until Rodgers and the defense buried their dreams of a victory in the fourth quarter. Rogers has been almost error free in every aspect of the game and those that questioned the sports betting pick making him starting QB certainly must rethink their assessment after two great sports betting outings.
The sportsbetting season is extremely young but through two games Rodgers has out-produced Favre’s excellent numbers from a year ago. Sports betting fans might be surprised to learn that Rodgers is averaging 250 yards in the air, 2.5 TDs and has an excellent pass rating of 118. Again, these stats mean little in week two of the action and no one has made the Packers a sports betting pick to win the Super Bowl yet, but if he maintains these numbers or close for the rest of the season, the Packers GM Ted Thompson and coach Mike Sherman will look like geniuses, despite what some sportsbetting fans might have said in the off-season.
