Sportsbetting Injuries Hurting Denver

Sportsbetting on the Denver Nuggets recently has been a disaster as the Nuggets have lost four of their last five and six of their last eight. It may not get much better for Denver in sports betting online until Denver starts getting healthy. Sportsbetting has seen the Nuggets without their two leading scorers recently. Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups have been out of the lineup recently and Denver has struggled.

Billups was hurt on December 16th and has missed six of the last seven games.  He did play the first half against Portland on Christmas Day but hasn’t played since.  Just how bad has Denver been in sports betting online without him?  They have lost four of those five games both straight up and against the sports betting number.

Losing Billups is bad enough but the Nuggets have also been without Anthony recently as well. He is second in the league in scoring at 30 points per game as sports betting online stats indicate. When he and Billups are both out of the lineup the Nuggets chances of winning are almost non-existent.  Denver is also expected to be without forward Chris Anderson who got hurt in the last game. “You’ve got your leading scorer down, your leader, and now your energy guy,” guard Tyl Lawson said, “It’s tough.” Anderson is probably going to be out for the next week. “He’ll probably be out this week, but we’ll know more tomorrow,” Denver head coach George Karl said.

Denver is simply unplayable in sports betting online without Anthony and Billups in the lineup. They are probably a team to avoid in sports betting until Billups gets back.  If both Anthony and Billups are out of the lineup then Denver is led in scoring by Nene.  The rest of their lineup has bench players like Aaron Afflalo, Ty Lawson, Kenyon Martin and Joey Graham. Other than Martin, there is simply not much to like about that lineup.

There is some good sports betting news for Denver though.  Anthony should be back sometime this week and Billups is not far from returning. The schedule also helps the Nuggets in sports betting.  They play four of their next five games at home with the road game being a winnable one at Sacramento.  After Tuesday’s night’s home game against Golden State in sports betting, the Nuggets host Cleveland on Friday, are at Sacramento on Saturday and then have home games next Monday and Wednesday against Minnesota and Orlando.
