Sportsbetting on an NFL Preseason Champ

Sportsbetting strategy is predicated on proactive wagering rather than reactive. If you wait and see what happens in the world of NFL sports betting you’ll generally find yourself out of the money.  Successful NFL sportsbetting fans are ahead of the curve and it’s never too early to get to work and scouting the NFL sports betting possibilities.

Sports betting novices might think the NFL preseason is a bit premature to begin handicapping the NFL Superbowl race, but anyone with real NFL sportsbetting experience knows that it’s never too early.  As the 2009 NFL preseason approaches there are all kinds of questions surrounding the upcoming sports betting season.  In terms of Superbowl talk, the biggest question on the board right now is whether or not the Pittsburgh Steelers can repeat as Superbowl sports betting champs.

It’s the single biggest question every year as the NFL sports betting action draws near and it’s never easy to answer.  The Steelers enter the sportsbetting season with a virtually identical roster, perhaps even upgraded with several important players on the offensive side of the ball returning for sporstbetting season-ending injuries.  The team has also shed some grey beards in favor of young players who, with an extra year of sports betting experience should be more than capable to step into starring roles when the regular season sports betting action gets underway.

But it’s highly unlikely that the Steelers will once again hoist the sportsbetting trophy at the end of the season.  On strictly numerical and statistical grounds –based on the previous decade of sporstbetting action- the Steelers have roughly a 12% chance of finishing at the top of the sports betting standings.  It doesn’t take a Rain Man to understand that those are awful sports betting odds.

With the Steelers out of the equation there is only a handful of teams that can call themselves legitimate contenders, at least in terms of sportsbetting odds.   The New England Pats are the front runner out of the gates.  With one of the most potent offenses in the history of NFL sportsbetting, led by a healthy Tom Brady, this team looks sharp.

From the NFC, the Eagles and the Giants also look strong, if they don’t kill each other in a war of attrition during the NFC East regular season sportsbetting.  Two wild cards in the Superbowl chase are the Vikings (whose chances depend heavily on the Brett Favre situation) and the Indy Colts.

But like every year, there are likely to be several teams that come out of nowhere and shock the league.  And that is what makes the NFL the most exciting sporting league in the world.
