Starting with last week’s national Thanksgiving TV disaster the Cowboys stock is down. Owner Jerry Jones croaked out that head coach Jason Garrett will complete the season. But the endorsement was lukewarm at best. Problematic is the owner himself. There is no greater NFL betting liability on the Cowboys than the meddlesome boss. Commencing with their Thanksgiving Day win at Detroit were the Bears and fans in the holiday spirit. Chicago climbed to .500 and is back into wild-card contention. Now comes a tricky Thursday night game against the capable but sloppy Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears Overview
Dallas has sports betting record of 6-6 straight up, 7-5 against the spread, and 7-5 over the total. Last week the Cowboys lost at home to Buffalo 26-15. Dallas ranks eighth in the NFL for scoring offense and ninth for points allowed. Of great concern is that the Cowboys have lost three of their last four games straight up. After making the playoffs as NFC East champions last year the regression has frustrated all. Yet Jerry Jones gave a rambling speech last week about still believing in a turnaround.
By contrast, the Bears are 6-6 straight up, 3-9 on the board, and 4-8 under the total. Chicago is coming off a 24-20 win at Detroit on Thanksgiving. Overall the Bears rank 27th for scoring offense and fourth for points allowed. Chicago has gotten back into form with three wins in their last four games.

Key Bears: QB Mitchell Trubisky (63.7% COMP, 2196 YDS, 6.1 AVG, 13 TD, 7 INT, 26 SACK, 84.4 RTG), RB David Montgomery (172 ATT, 594 YDS, 3.5 AVG, 5 TD), WR Allen Robinson II (71 REC, 850 YDS, 5 TD), LB Khalil Mack (39 TACKLES, 6.5 SACKS), PK Eddy Pineiro (15-20 FG, 21-23 XP)

Dallas vs. Chicago NFL Betting Pick
On this occasion we have two teams going in opposite NFL betting directions. And that is why the Cowboys merit consideration. To illuminate the public will likely lean Chicago based on recent performance. But Dallas has been a good value on the road. As was previously noted the Bears have struggled to get the cash at Soldier Field.
