Sports Betting U.S. Open : Tiger Woods and Phil Lead. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson lead the U.S. Open sports betting field for the tournament that begins on June 17th from the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Woods and Mickelson are the two Internet sports betting favorites but there are a lot of great players that will be in the tournament including former U.S. Open champions.
Sports betting odds will include the former U.S. Open winners, the last five winners of the Masters, British Open and PGA and a number of other automatic qualifiers. The last ten winners of the U.S. Open are on the Internet sports betting odds board and they are defending champion Lucas Glover, Tiger Woods who won in 2000, 2002 and in 2008, Angel Cabrera, Geoff Ogilvy, Michael Campbell, Retief Goosen who won in 2001 and in 2004 and Jim Furyk.
Other major winners in the last five years in the field are Trevor Immelman, Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, Padraig Harrington and Y.E. Yang. This year’s Players Championship winner Tim Clark also gets an automatic entry. The top 15 finishers and ties from last year’s U.S. Open get an automatic invitation and they will be included in sports betting golf odds. They are David Duval, Ricky Barnes, Ross Fisher, Soren Hansen, Hunter Mahan, Henrik Stenson, Rory McIlroy, Matt Bettencourt, Sergio Garcia, Ryan Moore, Stephen Ames and Mike Weir. The top 30 players from last year’s money list get an invite. They are Steve Stricker, Kenny Perry, Sean O’Hair, Nick Watney, Brian Gay, David Toms, Dustin Johnson, Rory Sabbatini, Kevin Na, Paul Casey, Jerry Kelly, Matt Kuchar, Ian Poulter, John Senden, John Rollins and Justin Leonard.
Other automatic qualifiers who will be on the sports betting odds board include Steve Marino, Ernie Els, Heath Slocum, Jason Dufner, Scott Verplank, Luke Donald, Marc Leishman, Robert Allenby, Camilo Villegas, Charl Schwartzel, Ryo Ishikawa, Yuta Ikeda, Michael Sim, Robert Karlsson, Alvaro Quiros, Adam Scott, K.J. Choi, Edoardo Molinari, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Ben Crane, Peter Hanson, Louis Oosthuizen, Thongchai Jaidee and Graeme McDowell. Two special exemptions went to Tom Watson and Vijay Singh. Sectional qualifiers complete the field and big names in that group that will be on the sports betting odds board include Bo Van Pelt, Ben Curtis, Tom Lehman, Aaron Baddeley, Davis Love III, Paul Goydos, David Frost, Shaun Micheel, J.J.
