2015 NBA Sportsbook Favorites. The 2014 NBA post-season just ended a couple of days ago, but online sportsbook websites have already figured the odds for the favorites to win the 2015 Championship. Not unsurprisingly both the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs are right at the top. What may be surprising though is that the Heat has better odds than the Spurs. The only thing that may conspire against San Antonio’s chances is the fact although Tim Duncan has won five NBA rings, he’s never won two consecutive championships. Duncan’s no longer essential for that to happen ; in fact he has become to Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard what the Admiral David Robinson once was to him. However, if his mere presence in the team is somehow enough to take the Spurs out of the title hunt, then Miami would certainly become odds on favorites.
The only possible caveat for the Heat is that they might lose their three biggest stars, namely LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Either odds-makers believe that Miami will be able to resign their dynamic trio, or they believe that Miami can go all the way even without them. On the hand, if the Heat manages to acquire the services of Carmelo Anthony, they could turn their tremendous trident into a fearsome foursome. Who knows? Maybe that was the missing ingredient that resulted in Miami getting obliterated by the Spurs in what was almost a clean sweep during this year’s finals.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks are the least likely teams to be wearing championship rings this time next year, according to sportsbook experts. The odds for all 30 teams are as follows:
