Bobby Cox to Retire After Next Season Sport Books

Bobby Cox to Retire After Next Season Sport Books. Sport books have had the Atlanta Braves as one of the sports betting contenders in the National League with manager Bobby Cox. The Braves will have Cox as the manager for just one more season as he will retire after next year.  The Braves have been a successful team for online betting gamblers at the Internet sportsbook although they haven’t done much in the playoffs under Bobby Cox.

Sport books still have the Braves as a team to consider on a daily basis this season.  Atlanta is still a longshot to make the Wild Card but they have played well and impacted baseball betting odds at the Internet sportsbook.  Cox led the Braves to 14 straight postseason appearances as sport books stats show during his tenure but he was only able to win it all once, in 1995. “Period. It’s time,” Cox said, “If I don’t do this right now, I would be wanting to manage again somewhere … or here.”

Sport books notes that general manager Frank Wren and Bobby Cox announced the move on Wednesday.  “Bobby and I have been talking about this for a while. We finalized this deal at the end of last week, honestly,” said Wren.  The team is in no hurry to find a replacement since Cox will manage next year. “I think it’s something I’ll visit with Bobby about, as we get into next year,” Wren said. “I don’t think there’s going to be any great rush, obviously. We’re going to focus on Bobby managing for us next year and put us in a position to win again and we’ll kind of cross that bridge when we come to it.”

Cox led the Braves to 14 straight division titles from 1991 to 2005 as sport books stats show. The problem for the Braves is that they only won the World Series once during that time period as Internet sportsbook numbers indicate.  The Braves have slipped in the last few seasons in sport books results and have not made the playoffs.  They almost assuredly won’t make it this year either since time is running out on the sport books baseball season.

Whether the Braves win or not next Internet sportsbook season, Cox has said it won’t matter. “It doesn’t matter,” he said. “I really want to manage next year and it’s just a good time to say it now, get it over with and retire. The good part of it is, I get to be involved. Frank, John [Schuerholz, Braves president], Terry [McGuirk, Braves CEO] and the guys have been very good and made that happen.”
