Sport books have not favored the Kansas City Chiefs this season and that is not likely to change even though the Chiefs added wide receiver Chris Chambers. The Chiefs have been a poor team this season versus the odds at the In ternet sportsbook and they are underdogs this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Sport books have the Kansas City Chiefs as about a touchdown this week in their game against the Jaguars. The Chiefs added Chambers who was cut by the San Diego Chargers earlier this week. Chambers had one catch for 20 yards Sunday against Oakland but he had only nine catches for 122 yards and one touchdown with San Diego. He was originally a second-round pick by Miami in 2001 as sport books noted. He has caught 482 passes for 6,827 yards and 53 touchdowns in his career as the Internet sportsbook statistics indicated.
The Chiefs don’t have many other positives in terms of sport books odds. They recently lost starting free safety Jarrad Page who was placed on injured reserve. The team signed free-agent cornerback Travis Daniels who started for Miami a couple of years ago in sport books action.
In other sport books news regarding the Chiefs, the team has received a petition by fans not to allow running back Larry Johnson to play. Johnson is 75 yards away from becoming the team’s all-time leading rusher. Fans don’t want Johnson back after his latest troubles. Priest Holmes has Kansas City’s rushing record with 6,070 yards. The Chiefs suspended Johnson for one game but he could return next week and have a chance to pass Holmes for the team’s rushing record. Fans do not want that to happen and they have petitioned the Chiefs to deactivate or cut Johnson. Internet sportsbooks info had Kansas City suspending Johnson through Nov. 8th after he made disparaging remarks about head coach Todd Haley.
The Chiefs are 1-6 straight up this season and 2-5 against the NFL betting odds at sport books. Kansas City has been terrible on both offense and defense this season as they rank 30th in total yards and in total yards allowed as Internet sportsbook stats showed. Kansas City is not getting much action this week even though they are playing a Jacksonville team that is struggling. Not many bettors want to take a Kansas City team that can’t score.
