Clemson to meet Georgia Tech for ACC Title Sportsbooks. Sportsbooks will have a great matchup in the ACC Championship on Saturday, December 5th as Clemson and Georgia Tech will meet. The Tigers are red hot having won six straight and will be a popular team at the offshore sportsbook.
Sportsbooks had Clemson winning this past week against Virginia 34-21 although they did not cover the spread. Running back C.J. Spiller is having a superb season and could be the difference in the ACC title game against Georgia Tech in terms of offshore sportsbook odds.
Clemson still has a regular season game remaining in sportsbooks odds but it is not a conference game. They face South Carolina on Saturday then they will play Georgia Tech the following offshore sportsbook week in the ACC title game. C.J. Spiller had a 4-yard touchdown run and broke the ACC single-season all-purpose yardage mark in the victory.
The ACC title game will be huge for Clemson which has been so close before only to miss out. Thanks to Spiller they won’t miss out this time. The Tigers did defeat Virginia but much of the drama was gone since Boston College had already lost so the game didn’t mean as much. Clemson played like it too as the intensity level against Virginia was down a bit and they didn’t cover the spread at the offshore sportsbook. “I think people were still on the edge of their seats,” Spiller said. “I’m pretty sure a lot of people probably still doubted us, that we would have a letdown, but the good thing about this team, we never worry about what people say about our team. We worry about what we can control and the main thing for us is having a great week of preparation and going out and proving everyone wrong.”
Georgia Tech was off last week in sportsbooks action but they will also have a regular season game before the ACC title game. It is also a non-conference battle as they face Georgia this week.
While Clemson-South Carolina and Georgia-Georgia Tech are important rivalry games, the ACC title game will be on the mind of both Tech and Clemson. How much focus they have this week will definitely be in question this sportsbooks week.
Georgia Tech is 10-1 straight up and 7-3 against the sportsbooks line this season. They are 11th in the country in points scored led by a rushing attack that ranks 2nd in the nation. Clemson is 8-3 both straight up and against the pointspread this season. They are 19th in total points scored in the country and 20th in fewest points allowed as sportsbooks stats indicate.
