Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher Gets 5-Year Deal Online Sportsbook. Online sportsbook has Florida State agreeing with new head football coach Jimbo Fisher on a five-year deal with about $1.8 million dollars per season. Fisher will take over as head coach next Internet sportsbook season for Florida State. Bobby Bowden will coach the Seminoles in his last game as head coach as Florida State faces West Virginia in the Gator Bowl on New Years’ Day.
Online sportsbook have some of the incentives for Fisher that could raise his contract including $50,000 for winning an ACC title, $50,000 for winning the ACC championship, $125,000 for getting to the BCS title game and another $125,000 in the unlikely even that Florida State wins it. If the Seminoles finish in the top five in the AP poll to end an online sportsbook season then Fisher would get another $100,000 while a Top 10 finish would make him an extra $50,000.
The Seminoles have not been a good team to follow recently at the online sportsbook. The team has been overvalued for many seasons with Bowden as the head coach. Perhaps that will change now that Fisher is at the helm. Keep in mind though, that Bowden will be coaching his last game against West Virginia so the Seminoles should be extra motivated to win.
This is the third time in the last four Internet sportsbook seasons that Florida State will have lost six games. The end for Bowden should have come years ago but it did not. Fisher became the offensive coordinator for Florida State in 2007 and he was named the successor for Bowden after that online sportsbook season. This will be Fisher’s first head coaching position although he has been calling the plays for Florida State for the past couple of seasons.
Online sportsbook stats show that Bowden retires with the second-most wins in NCAA history behind only Joe Paterno. Bowden won 388 games in his career. Florida State won two national titles with Bowden at the helm in 1993 and 1999. Until 2000, the Seminoles were a national power. They had 14 straight online sportsbook seasons at one point where they won at least ten games.
The Internet sportsbook has Florida State as a 2.5 point underdog in their Gator Bowl matchup on New Year’s Day against West Virginia. The Seminoles will be a popular choice at the Internet sportsbook since it will be Bowden’s last game.
