Hamilton Still Out for the Rangers – Sportsbook

Sportsbook lines on the Texas Rangers could be affected as the Rangers are likely to be without top slugger Josh Hamilton for the next few games. He might miss the entire road trip for the Rangers and Texas offshore sportsbook odds would be impacted.

Sportsbook action on the Rangers has been pretty successful this season as the Rangers have stayed in the Wild Card race in the American League.  Losing Hamilton and Michael Young really hurts though.  Sports betting indicated that Hamilton had to go back to Texas to get a shot for his hurting back.  Hamilton has a pinched nerve and it has not improved much as online sports betting info notes. “If the shot gets on it in the right spot, I’ll feel better,” Hamilton said. “It might come back in three weeks, but it’s three weeks of playing.”

The Rangers are hoping to get Hamilton back sometime at the end of this offshore sportsbook week.  He may join the team in Cleveland on Tuesday but almost assuredly won’t play on Tuesday or Wednesday and impact online sports betting at the offshore sportsbook.  “We’ll figure that out once he gets back there and gets it done,” manager Ron Washington said. “He may come to Cleveland. He may not.” The plan is for Hamilton to possibly play on Friday as the Rangers start a huge homestand that will probably decide whether or not they stay in the Wild Card hunt.  The team opens a nine-game homestand on Friday as they will host the Mariners, A’s and Angels in sportsbook lines.

The Rangers have been without Michael Young of late and that has also impacted their offense as sportsbook stats show.  Young did some light jogging and threw on the field before Sunday’s game as he recovers from a pulled left hamstring.  With Young and Hamilton out of the lineup the Rangers have struggled to score runs as sportsbook statistics have it. Eight of the last ten Texas games have gone under the sportsbook sports betting total.

Texas has been in the Top 10 in the league in runs scored but those numbers are dropping without Hamilton and Young.  Taking Texas under the offshore sportsbook total has been the way to go of late.  Normally taking Texas at home in sportsbook numbers has also been successful as the Rangers are almost 20 games over .500 at home.
