Hornets Lose Chris Paul Indefinitely – Online Sportsbook

Online sportsbook odds are going to be adjusted on the New Orleans Hornets now that All-Star point guard Chris Paul is out indefinitely with a left knee injury. The Hornets are right in the playoff picture in the Western Conference and with Paul in the lineup they have recovered from a poor start.  They could struggle now against sportsbook lines without their leading scorer.

Online sportsbook numbers will be adjusted on New Orleans since Paul is simply a great player who can’t be replaced. There are sportsbook reports that Paul has a meniscus tear and might miss a month or more.  New Orleans was keeping things close to the vest but ESPN was reporting that Paul is going to have to have arthroscopic surgery. “We’re in fact-finding stages right now, gathering as much information as possible for decisions to be made to take the next steps,” head coach Jeff Bower said. “It is likely there will be a surgical solution for it. We don’t have a timetable [for Paul’s return] right now, nor do we know a surgical procedure right now.”

This is not the first time that Paul has been hurt this online sportsbook NBA season.  He missed eight games earlier this season and the online sportsbook had to adjust the odds then. The Hornets survived as they went 4-4 without him. He did not play at Memphis on Saturday but the Hornets were able to get a big game and win in online sportsbook results. Rookie Darren Collison had a huge game in the sportsbook win over Memphis but he is averaging just 6.8 points and 3.2 assists per game.

Online sportsbook had New Orleans winning 13 of their last 17 and Paul was simply on fire.  Losing him now might cost the Hornets a playoff spot since things are so competitive in the West. They entered Monday’s sportsbook action tied with Phoenix for the eighth spot in the Western Conference.  Collison was pretty confident he could step in and fill in for Paul. “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before,” Collison said. “We’ve been jelling with Chris, and without him I don’t think it’s going to stop us.”

Since Paul is injured he won’t be participating in the NBA All-Star game later this online sportsbook month.  NBA commissioner David Stern will select the player to replace Paul once he is officially ruled out.
