Jets Could be without Cotchery Sportsbooks Betting

Sportbooks betting has the New York Jets heavily favored at home this Sunday as they host the Buffalo Bills even though starting wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery may not play.  He doesn’t seem likely to play this sportbooks betting week and that does hurt the Jets in terms of sportsbooks odds.

Sportbooks betting favors the Jets by almost 10 points as they host the Bills. That is a lot of points for New York but Buffalo was terrible last week. The Jets would be in really tough shape at wide receiver if not for their recent trade for Braylon Edwards. Losing Cotchery does hurt though as he is an important part of their offense. He hasn’t practiced much this week and head coach Rex Ryan does not believe he will play. “It doesn’t look real good,” Ryan said, “We’ll see how he is.” Cotchery is averaging 97.5 receiving yards in New York’s home games as sportsbooks stats show and he leads the Jets with 24 catches. Quarterback Mark Sanchez has touchdown passes in four of his five sportbooks betting games.

Sportsbooks info shows that the Jets are also dealing with injuries to wide receiver Brad Smith, right tackle Damien Woody and defensive end Shaun Ellis. It looks like Ellis and Woody will play in the sportbooks betting matchup against the Bills. “I’m working toward it,” Ellis said. “I’m just trying to get myself to where I need to be and just doing everything I can to get out there.”

It is possible that David Clowney and Wallace Wright could see time at receiver if Cotchery and Smith are out in this sportsbooks matchup. They might even have to bring running back Danny Woodhead in to play receiver for this sportbooks betting game. “He could be a slot receiver,” Ryan said. “Sometimes you stumble into it, but he did a great job of being like Wes Welker when we were preparing for New England. We put him in the slot, and he was tough. He really was.” Braylon Edwards will definitely get a lot of action in this sportbooks betting game. He caught five passes last week including one for a TD in the sportbooks betting loss to Miami.

Buffalo actually leads the all-time sportbooks betting series against the Jets. They did lose both games in the sportbooks betting series a year ago though. New York is a 9.5 point favorite in sportbooks betting odds against the Bills.
