Kansas Leads Polls, Big East Highly Ranked

Kansas Leads Polls, Big East Highly Ranked.  Online sportsbook had Kansas staying at #1 in the latest college basketball polls with Big East teams getting a lot of attention. The Jayhawks have been at or near the top of the sportsbook rankings all season while the Big East is the best conference overall.

Online sportsbook had Kansas getting 55 of the first place votes. The Jayhawks played at Texas on Monday night so they had a tough test right off the bat.  Syracuse moved up to #2 in the latest polls. The Orange got eight first place votes while #3 Kentucky got two first-place votes.   The fourth and fifth place teams in the poll, Villanova and West Virginia played on Monday.

Purdue continues to impress as they have moved up to #6 in the polls. They are followed in the AP poll by Georgetown, Duke, Kansas State and Michigan State. Purdue will be playing Michigan State this week so one of those teams is going to fall.  Michigan State was fifth a week ago but lost twice last week after Kalin Lucas got hurt to drop five spots.

Online sportsbook had the second ten starting with Wisconsin. They are followed by Tennessee, Ohio State, Texas, New Mexico, Gonzaga, BYU, Butler, Northern Iowa and Georgia Tech. The Badgers are continuing to impress as they beat Michigan State and Michigan last week in online sportsbook results.  Texas has taken the biggest fall as they were #1 just a few weeks ago.  They will either fall further or move up depending upon what they do against Kansas. The last five teams are Temple, Vanderbilt, UNLV, Baylor and Pittsburgh. The Runnin’ Rebels are the newcomer as online sportsbook indicated. They have won five straight and defeated BYU last week in sportsbook results. The one team to fall out of the rankings was Mississippi who lost to Kentucky while beating Alabama. They could easily get back in next sportsbook week.

This is a great week of college hoops action at the online sportsbook.  Monday’s games between Villanova and West Virginia and Kansas and Texas were great.  Tuesday it is Tennessee and Vanderbilt in Nashville in online sportsbook odds and Purdue and Michigan State in East Lansing. Wednesday it will be UNLV and New Mexico while Friday it will be West Virginia at Pittsburgh.  Saturday it is Kentucky hosting Tennessee in sportsbook SEC action.
