Other sportsbook online odds this week list Tony Stewart and Jeff Burton at 12.5 to 1 while Carl Edwards and Kasey Kahne are 14-1. Greg Biffle is 16-1 with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Juan Pablo Montoya and Matt Kenseth at 18-1. Ryan Newman is 20-1.
Kevin Harvick is the points’ leader heading into this week’s race. Matt Kenseth is 26 points back in second. Harvick has a win, nine top-five and 11 top-10 finishes at the track in 18 starts. Kensesth has two victories and a total of seven top-five and 12 top-10 finishes in 20 starts at Bristol. Biffle is third in the standings. He has three top-fives and a total of four top-10 finishes in the past six Bristol races.
Jimmie Johnson is fourth in the standings. He has three top-five and a total of eight top-10 Bristol finishes in 16 career starts. Clint Bowyer is fifth in the standings. He has not done that well at Bristol with an average finish of 17th place. Mark Martin started last season’s race from the pole.
The driver to watch this week in addition to Kyle Busch is Denny Hamlin. He was the best driver on short tracks a year ago. Mark Martin and Kyle Busch were the next two drivers that did well on the short tracks. The odds reflect the success of these three drivers on short tracks since they are among the favorites to win at Bristol on Sunday.
