Sportbooks online have two unbeaten teams left in the NFL with the Colts and Saints are 7-0. It was not easy this past week for either team as neither one covered the odds at the offshore sportsbook.
Sportbooks online had the Colts winning against the 49ers but only by four points while New Orleans was able to get by Atlanta, winning by just eight points on Monday night. The Saints look to be poised to make it to 10-0 since their next three opponents are Carolina, St. Louis and Tampa who are a combined 4-18. The Colts could see their unbeaten streak come to an end soon as they face Houston, New England and Baltimore who are a combined 14-8.
The Saints have the top offense in the league and they are a popular team at the offshore sportsbook because of how many points they score. Quarterback Drew Brees is having another great season and the defense for New Orleans is actually not half bad. The Colts don’t score quite as many points as sportbooks online stats show but they have the best quarterback in the league in Peyton Manning and a better defense than New Orleans.
The Saints spread the ball all over the field with their leading scorer in touchdowns being wide receiver Marques Colston who has six. Their leading rusher is Pierre Thomas but both Mike Bell and Reggie Bush get the ball as well. New Orleans is 7-0 straight up this season and 6-1 against the sportbooks online pointspread. New Orleans doesn’t have many games remaining on their schedule that look difficult except for the home sportbooks online contest against New England and perhaps the home game against Dallas. The Saints do have a rematch against the Falcons later in the year in Atlanta in what could be a good offshore sportsbook matchup.
The Colts are also 7-0 straight up this season while they are 5-2 against the sportbooks online odds. Indianapolis is not far behind the Saints on offense as they are fourth in the league as sportbooks online stats show while their defense is better, ranking in the Top 10 in the league. Reggie Wayne leads the team in touchdowns with six while Joseph Addai is the leading rusher. Indianapolis has a tough three-game stretch ahead and many people at the offshore sportsbook believe their unbeaten run will come to an end.
