Online Sportsbooks – Top Teams Unchanged in BCS Standings

Online sportsbooks have the BCS standings unchanged at the top after the big teams had little trouble this past week. Internet sportsbook had Florida at #1 in the BCS standings followed by Alabama, Texas, TCU and Cincinnati.

Online sportsbooks have had each of these teams favored on a regular basis this season.   TCU won big against Utah 55-28 and covered the odds at the Internet sportsbook but they didn’t gain any ground in the BCS standings. TCU has pretty easy Internet sportsbook games against Wyoming and New Mexico left and should win both to finish the season unbeaten. They would go to a BCS bowl but unless something totally unforeseen happens with the top three teams, the Horned Frogs will not play for a national title. “If we win two games, we have an opportunity to color in a box higher than we’ve ever colored in this program, to go to a BCS,” head coach Gary Patterson said, “That’s about as far as I take it.”

Early next month in Internet sportsbook action it will be Alabama and Florida in the SEC championship game and if both teams remain unbeaten as expected, the winner will go to the national championship game to play Texas as long as the Longhorns don’t get tripped up. The Longhorns last two regular season games in online sportsbooks lines are against Kansas and Texas A&M. They would also have the Big 12 championship game which might end up being easier than their remaining two regular season games. The Big 12 North isn’t very good this season and a matchup against Nebraska or Kansas State looks pretty winnable for Texas in online sportsbooks odds.

Cincinnati is unbeaten as is Boise State but neither of them has much of a chance to play for the national title.  Boise State is in very poor shape since they are likely to be left out of a BCS bowl altogether since TCU is going to be ranked higher.  Cincinnati will get into a BCS bowl if they win their regular season online sportsbooks finale against Pittsburgh.  Following Boise State in the standings as online sportsbooks notes are Georgia Tech at #7. LSU is at #8 while Pittsburgh and Ohio State round out the Top 10.  Oregon starts the second ten followed by Oklahoma State, Iowa, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Stanford, USC, Oregon State and Miami of Florida. The last five as online sportsbooks have it are Utah, BYU, Clemson, Houston and California.
