Oregon Reinstates Blount Online Sportsbooks. Online sportsbooks have seen a lot of action on the Oregon Ducks this season, even after the team suspended running back LeGarrette Blount after their first game. Now Blount will be returning for this week’s game against Arizona State. Oregon is a 17-point favorite at home this week in Internet sportsbook odds.
Online sportsbooks saw the Ducks lose last week against Stanford but that loss is not the reason the Ducks are bringing back Blount. You may remember that Blount was suspended for the season after punching a Boise State player following their opener game loss. Blount missed eight games but head coach Chip Kelly is reinstating him for the rest of the season and the Pac-10 has approved the action.
Blount is very pleased to have a chance to prove himself. “Now it is up to me to prove to people that their lasting impressions of me are not what they saw in Boise,” he said. Blount’s return was also approved by athletic director Mike Bellotti and university President Richard Lariviere. Blount also made a statement to the team. “He just apologized to them again for the incident, and told them he was anxious to rejoin the team,” Kelly said.
Last year Blount rushed for 1,002 yards as online sportsbooks statistics indicated. This year LaMichael James has become the starter for Oregon and impacted odds at the online sportsbooks. He has run for 1,043 yards so far this season with eight touchdowns. He is the first Oregon freshman to go over 1,000 yards rushing as Internet sportsbook statistics show.
Oregon lost in online sportsbooks results this past week against Stanford. They still have a chance to win the Pac-10 though. After this week’s online sportsbooks matchup against Arizona State, the Ducks play at Arizona and then are home against Oregon State. Internet sportsbook info indicates that James will be the starting running back but Blount will get playing time.
Oregon is 7-2 straight up and a profitable 6-3 against the odds at online sportsbooks. The Ducks have been a very nice 4-1 at home against the odds at the Internet sportsbook. The Ducks will try and avoid looking past Arizona State to next week’s game against Arizona that may decide the Pac-10 title. Oregon has the 9th ranked offense in the country in terms of points scored and the addition of Blount should give them even more depth and potential to score.
