Sportsbook – Championship Games Highlight This Weeks’ College Picks

This is the week where conferences hold their championship games and there are some very important games on the board at the sportsbook on Saturday.

This week’s college action at the Internet sportsbook begins on Thursday with Arizona State at Arizona.  Let’s look at that game and some other picks for this week’s action.

Thursday, December 2nd
Arizona State at Arizona – Wildcats -5.5, total 55 – Arizona should win this game but they can’t be trusted laying points.  The over looks to be a better play in this ESPN game.

Friday, December 3rd
Mac Championship Game – Northern Illinois -17 vs. Miami of Ohio – Northern Illinois is a very good team who should blow Miami right off the field. Lay the points.

Saturday, December 4th
Connecticut at South Florida – South Florida -1.5, total 41.5 – The Huskies clinch the Big East and a bowl game if they win at South Florida.  The number looks right as all they have to do is win the game.

Washington at Washington State – Washington -6, total 54.5 – Neither of these two teams can score so take the under at SBG.  The weather could also be a factor so points should be at a premium.  You may also want to take a shot with Washington State as there is no reason to think Washington can win this game by a TD.

Oregon at Oregon State – Oregon -16.5, total 64 – It sounds nice to go with the big points but Oregon State is not very good and the Ducks are the best team in the country.  Lay the points.

Conference USA Championship – SMU at Central Florida (-9, total 54.5) – This should be a shootout with the winner scoring at least 30 points so go over the total at the sportsbook.

SEC Championship Game – Auburn -6 at South Carolina, total 61 – The Tigers need to win to go to the BCS title game but it won’t be easy.  Hard to trust South Carolina though and Auburn just finds ways to win.

ACC Title Game – Virginia Tech -4 vs. Florida State – The Hokies haven’t lost since early in the season and no reason to think they lose here.

Big 12 Title Game – Oklahoma -6.5 vs. Nebraska – The Sooners are the better team and Bo Pelini has Nebraska’s offense all messed up.  Take Oklahoma minus the points.
