Sportsbook – Charl Schwartzel Wins the Masters

Sportsbook – Charl Schwartzel Wins the Masters of Golf .  There was another surprise in golf odds at the sportsbook as South African Charl Schwartzel roared down the stretch to win the Masters.  Schwartzel birdied the final four holes to get to 14 under and win by two shots over Adam Scott and Jason Day.  Tiger Woods got people excited at the online sportsbook as he was tied for the lead but he didn’t make putts down the stretch and finished four strokes back.

Final Round was Exciting
There was a time on Sunday when seven players were tied for the lead.  The one that played the best over the final four holes was Charl Schwartzel.  Schwartzel was really not even mentioned as a main contender at Sbgglobal on Sunday but he ended up being the winner in golf odds at the sportsbook. Rory McIlroy started the day with a four shot lead but he completely fell a part on Sunday.  Adam Scott looked to have the tournament for a few holes but Schwartzel just kept making birdies.  Scott had the outright lead after the 14th but he could only make one birdie the rest of the way.

Tiger Falls Short
It looked for a while like Tiger Woods would make a historic run to win the Masters.  Woods shot a 5-under 31 on the front side to get into a tie for the lead with McIlroy and Schwartzel but Tiger couldn’t make putts down the stretch.  Tiger missed a putt he should have made at 12 and then butchered a short putt for eagle at 15 that would have given him the outright lead.

McIlroy Unravels
Before the final round began it was thought by some at the sportsbook that McIlroy would run away with the Masters.  It didn’t happen though as he got off to a shaky start.  He was still one up though as he went to the 10th. That is where it all started to come apart.  He had all kinds of trouble and ended up with a triple-bogey 7 and his Masters collapse was well underway. He would go on to shoot a final round 80 and finish in a tie for 15th
