Texas Leading Big 12 Sportsbook Betting

Texas Leading Big 12 Sportsbook Betting.  Sportsbook action on the Big 12 conference in college football betting is highlighted by Oklahoma and Texas. Unfortunately, both teams play in the Big 12 South so they can’t meet in the Big 12 title game and in reality they can never meet in the national title game either.  The good news for sportsbook gamblers though is that the teams do meet every year in the regular season and that game gets a lot of attention.

Sportsbook future book odds are the most popular on Oklahoma and Texas as well.  Heading into the 2009 college football betting season at the sportsbook the Longhorns are the -200 favorites to win the Big 12 South Division while Oklahoma is the even-money second choice at the sportsbook.  The ability to bet on the individual divisions is an interesting choice at the sportsbook.  The Big 12 South has the power of Oklahoma and Texas while the Big 12 North is wide open in sports book numbers.  Kansas and Nebraska are both +130 in future sportsbook odds to win the North Division in 2009. They are followed by Missouri at +250 and Colorado at +400 at the sports book.  Longshots in the Big 12 North in college football betting at the sportsbook are Kansas State at 6-1 and Iowa State at 15-1.

Previously we mentioned the sports betting odds at the sportsbook for Texas and Oklahoma.  Other teams are in the mix as well at the sportsbook although they are not going to get nearly the attention from sports betting gamblers.  Oklahoma State is 4-1 to win the Big 12 South while Texas Tech and Baylor are 8-1.  Texas A&M is the big longshot at 18-1 at the sports book in college football betting.

The Big 12 has been dominated in recent seasons by Oklahoma and Texas and that is not likely to change in 2009. Both teams are considered national title contenders at the sports book.  As noted earlier, only one can win the Big 12 South and only one could go unbeaten since they play each other during the season.  In 2009 the teams both have superstar quarterbacks as Texas has Colt McCoy while Oklahoma has Sam Bradford.  It will be interesting to see which team is victorious in their annual matchup and it will also be fun to follow the odds at the sportsbook.
