Worst Start in NBA History for Nets Sportsbooks Betting

Sportbooks betting on the New Jersey Nets has been bad this season as the Nets are off to the worst start in NBA history. New Jersey has lost their first 18 games this season and they are a very poor 5-13 against the sportbooks betting odds at sportsbooks.

Sportboks betting had the Nets getting routed by Dallas in their last game, 117-101. They have up 49 points to the Mavericks in the second quarter and the game was history. You might think that since the Nets are so horrible that they would be getting big numbers at sportsbooks every game in sportbooks betting but that is not the case. In their last eight games they have been single-digit sportbooks betting underdogs in four of them at sportsbooks.  In one of those games they were actually favored in sportbooks betting against the Knicks.

The Nets have talent but they have such bad morale that they continue to flounder in sportbooks betting. “I think what happens is you know it wears on you,” interim coach Tom Barrise said. “It’s not a two-game losing streak. We play four games a week in this league and it’s every day and every other day, and you know you hear it and you start to feel it a little bit.”  Giving up 49 points to Dallas in the second quarter was a disgrace.  They allowed Dallas to shoot 80% in the first half in the sportbooks betting loss.

New Jersey has one of their best chances to end their losing streak as they host Charlotte on Friday in sportbooks betting. “At this point, I feel the streak has definitely gotten the best of us. It’s really starting to get to us now,” guard Chris Douglas-Roberts said, “So when a team goes on a run, we kind of, it’s almost like we give up, which is really unfortunate but that’s what it looks like to me. We kind of give up and just lay down instead of trying to fight.”

New Jersey will have their new head coach for Friday’s sportbooks betting game as general manager Kiki Vandeweghe takes over. The future is what New Jersey is looking to. They are looking at moving to Brooklyn and they are expected to sign some free agents as they plan for next sportbooks betting season.  In the sportbooks loss to Dallas, Douglas-Roberts scored 24 points while Devin Harris had 17. Brook Lopez added 16 points.
