December 18th, 2019 Tennis Betting

With the 2015 Wimbledon underway in the WTA section of the tournament, it appears that all will be watching No. 1 S. Williams who is predicted to win her 3rd part of the Grand Slam in the tournament, and be victorious and win her 6th crown at Wimbledon this 2015.

But don’t get carries away with the No. 1 player, as there are some sleepers who deserve our attention. These other women also have the ability to disrupt the tournament or even win the crown. Thus, we take a look at the top 5 sleepers in this 2015 Wimbledon and the WTA.

We start with American M. Keys who made the semifinals in the Australian open, but was unable to go past the 3rd round on the clay this season. Her odds are at +2,500 and she’s at a price where she just may create a shock here at the All England Club, as she is very comfortable on the grass courts. With a 13-4 records on the grass she will more and likely collide with the No. 2 P. Kvitova who she beat at the Australian Open.

Then there’s Czech –K. Pliskova who to date has been busy winning tournaments in 2015 as in her 48 matches she has won some 35 to date, while making the final at the AEGON Classis. At 23 years old she is ranked at No. 11 and has betting odds of +2,500 to be victorious at Wimbledon 2015. Her stats are impressive with No.1 ranking for break points and aces this season, and No. 2 with 1st serve points and in the top 5 for service games won and service points won. Her big serve is her ultimate weapon this 2015.

Then there’s the young American S. Stephens at 23 years old, and it’s been since back in 2013 that she has not broke into the scene with a great season, as she has a quarterfinal in Wimbledon 2014 and this year made the semifinals at Australian Open, but also has had some struggles this season, but recently has come back to life, and still is thought of at +3,000 as a worthy of considerations. Her best wins were back in 2013 when she beat S. Williams and M. Sharapova, and thus has the talent to give a shock to the fans at the All England Club.

Next we have Polish-A. Radwanska whom in 2012 reached the final of Wimbledon and surged her to the No. 2 rankings, but since then has fallen somewhat, but recently she has played like she’s worthy and as odds of +3,000 for this Wimbledon 2015. She is presently ranked at No. 13 and in her ultimate 2 tourneys, at Nottingham she made it to semifinals and the finals at Eastbourne. She definitely is a sleeper this 2015. Now ranked at No. 8 she is in the bracket with No. 2 P. Kvitova but likes her shot at staging an upset against the highly favored Czech star player here at Wimbledon.

The final sleeper is Russian- E. Makarova who has struggled at Eastbourne, but is much more dependable when the Grand Slams come around. Has done well in the French Open slams making the quarters in 4 of 5 of the events and has odds at +5,000 at present.

If you Bet on Tennis at a SBG sportsbook, take your chances and bet on one of these sleepers and you may get a surprise of a lifetime.
